Bio:
Nathalie Fougeras is a new media artist.
She studied the contemporary art and she obtained a post-diploma ARI
(interactive research) at the School of Art E.N.S.A.D. in Paris. She began to
explore new media with interactive cinema, exhibited her works in several
festivals like Jouable Genève-Kyoto-Paris (
www.jouable.net
). In 2004, she began a multi-residencies project with trans_sites (
http://nathaliefougeras.org/Liens2 ). From 2007
she performs in two groups of artists: aether(
http://1904.cc/aether/
) and Avatar Orchestra Metaverse (
www.avatarorchestra.org
). She curated ¡¥Stream On You¡¦ at
the Centre for the Digital Cultures and Technology in iMAL Bruxelles (
www.imal.org/StreamOnYou/
). Her last project ¡¥double_skin¡¦ explores the identity, bodies, and the
avatar.

Title: 2-7-1-alt
Description: The start of 2'7, the 3' CD-R project took place during 31st august
to 3nd september 2007 when Nathalie and Björn recorded and produced sound and
visual material in two minutes chunks in Paris and Sollefteå respectively, and a
situation was created. These two minutes sound seeds where then further selected
and worked later in the fall of 2007 together in Brussels. The resulting seven
track then where put in rest over the winter to again finally be worked on in
march 2008. This sound project and CD-R release is part of a bigger project of
2'7 with both visual and net art components included to be presented later.
